Activity weeks at Baron Figues are all-inclusive and flexible. A small group of six to eight. Tennis, cycling, canoeing, golf, and walking are all available — pick what you want, skip what you don’t, and enjoy the fact that dinner is already taken care of.
What's included
- Seven nights' accommodation — en-suite bedroom with countryside views
- Use of the tennis court and cycling routes
- Guided or self-guided countryside walks
- Canoeing day on a local river
- Nearby golf course bookings arranged on request
- All meals — breakfast, lunch, and dinner
- All drinks — local wines, Armagnac, aperitifs, soft drinks

Our activity weeks aren't triathlon training. People want to move, be outside, sleep well, and eat properly. Gascony is made for that — you can cycle for an hour, swim at lunchtime, play an hour of tennis before dinner, and not see a traffic light all day.

Fitness levels we welcome
Everything from genuine beginners to proper amateur sportspeople. Nothing is graded and nobody is benchmarking you. If you can manage a moderate walk and swim you can take any of the offered activities at your own pace. People regularly join expecting to do one sport and spend half the week on a different one.
Getting here
For active guests bringing their own kit — golf clubs, racket, cycling shoes — driving in is worth considering. Toulouse-Blagnac (TLS) and Bordeaux-Mérignac (BOD) airports are about 90 minutes by road and easy to hire a car from; Agen train station is closer and we collect all guests from there at no extra cost. Airport transfers can be arranged for a small additional fee.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to be fit to join?
No. Activities are optional and self-paced. You can do as much or as little as you like; many guests alternate active mornings with lazy afternoons by the pool.
Is equipment provided?
Tennis rackets, bikes, and helmets are available on site. Walking poles and backpacks too. Bring golf clubs if you're serious, or hire them at the course.
Can my partner come if they'd rather not be active?
Absolutely. A non-participating partner rate is available; they get the accommodation, meals, and drinks and can pool, read, walk, or join the sociable parts of the week without committing to the sporty ones.
What's the golf situation?
We arrange tee-times at two local courses within thirty minutes — one gentle, one more challenging. Green fees aren't included but we book them at cost and transfers are provided.
Is it all competitive, or can I just play?
Entirely up to the group. Some weeks end up with little tournaments; others stay casual. We follow the room.
What's the best season for an activity week?
May, June, and September for cycling and walking — warm but not too hot. July and August are ideal if you're pool-heavy and happy with hotter tennis. Golf works all season.
